Both are excellent drivers, and would both work very well off that power...however, I would suggest the DC based on exp with the LVL 4 18" I had, plus the fact you were going to use a 1.8ft3 box for either 12.

That looks to be a little small for the Q IMO, but would be fine for the DC. I had my LVL 4 18" in 5.5ft3 net tuned to 32hz off 1200w and it was perfect.

Went DC Level 4 mainly because it gets loud and low while retaining sq(l) and also better fit in my box limitations. thanks for all the input. considering putting up a build log

too bad you're not closer too me, I am currently running a DC Level 4 15". I'm about to recone a Fi Q 15". you could have just came over and listened to the difference.

minimal. the DC seems to move more air, like I can feel my hair move alot when it hits. the Fi definitely sounds great and hits hard but I don't feel as much air movement. mirror shakes like hell with both. I wish I could give you a more exact assesment but I have not metered either and I was told that the Q would perform a little better in a box tuned closer to 30hz instead of 35hz. honestly i don't believe that 4-5hz difference at that frequency is going to make that significant of a difference. just to fill you in on box and amp, it's ~3.5 cubes net with a 6" aero port tuned to ~35hz being pushed by a Hifonics Txi1508.
