The patent keeps people from making them and selling them. It does not stop people from making their own though. The same way all other enclosure theories are out there for people to use and make. I still think it's lame to worry about a patent on it.Once Team Toxic Bass gets the patenet and releases plans what is going to stop someone from reverse engineering it and letting out the secret. If I understand the patent process (I am no lawyer) owning a patent only stops corperations from reproducing the enclosure. What is going to stop myself from produceing my own box?
I also call BS on the ability to create directional or "listening area only" bass. I'll watch the video once I get to work (I'm at school right now). But the physics of long wave length sound I learned dictates otherwise.
i think its another term for "HYPE"this is going to sound like a dumb Q, but
what is a snake oil ????
Snake Oil.Snake oil is a traditional Chinese medicine used for joint pain. However, the most common usage of the words is as a derogatory term for compunds offered as medicines which imply they are fake, fraudulent, or ineffective. The expression is also applied metaphorically to any product with exaggerated marketing but questionable or unverifiable quality. In short, it refers to a product sold as one part of a hoax.

Is that a particular cabbin or in all instances. Cancelation is a big issue in the automotive environment so moving stuff will usually give SPL gains. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThe patent keeps people from making them and selling them. As for the listening area only idea... it is VERY possible. Have you built or listened to many horn enclosures? They are very dependent on the listening area. In my car, if the horn is facing the cabin, I get no output at all. Not like attenuated output like you would with a regular sealed or ported enclosure but no sound at all from it. While in my room, different positioning of the sub creates sweet spots in different places. Horns need a place for the reflected waves to load off of and that place changes when you move the listening area or the enclosure. It's pretty neat to experience in person.
It can work good, but isnt nessicarily revolutionary or something worth patenting/hideing from the general audio community. A way to make money. They tell us it works good and put up a video that makes it seem good and people buy it. Marketing. Nothing wrong with it but I need to see real data before I begin to speculate on it's greatness. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifsoo..pretty much a hype //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif

The over all effectiveness of their "Revolutionary" designes has been called into question before. However I've yet to see a customer who was completely unsatisfied so they have to be doing something right. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifwhat you guys think on the other box's??
