i was going to order the new jl w3v3 sub from them until i noticed on all jl subs they list no warranty, i called and asked them what that meant and was told jl subs have no warranty. i asked what if the sub is DOA or goes out after a day or two and was told they offer no warranty what so ever on the jl subs. After hearing that i ordered from another site with warranty.

i know the slash series amps have a 2 year warranty

Not true. They have a 90 day warranty, even if purchased authorized. 2 year only applies to if the amplifier was installed or checked off on by an authorized dealer. I know for a fact. I actually had my 1000/1 installed. 1.5 years later it went bad. I took it to a JL dealer (not where I bought it from), they sent it back for me. 2 weeks later I got a brand new one.

Now..here's the best part. Instead of considering the new one as part of the previous' warranty period, I got a brand new warranty. As long as I get it checked off on (since I'm installing myself) I get a 2 year warranty on the new amp. Suhh-weet!

I paid $50 for the amp to be installed the first time, and it wound up saving me from having to buy another amp. That's probably the best $50 I've ever spent. Me = //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So, the moral is, if you're buying JL, buy used. Hit some locl shops and talk them down. Buying unauthorized is a huge risk, especially if the amp is the more expensive ones (1000/1, 450/4).

Sonicelectronix has a note on the jl audio subs page that states "No Warranty"
