fbi90909's TC LMS 5400 15 + Saz3000D rebuild + fiberglass

resined the area and added a few patches of glass on the bottom and top section where i couldn't get to when the clamps where in.

after that was done i started out with taking the side seat sails and test fitting them in place so i could extend the glass panel to ensure me the panel will cover all areas

marked my areas

before glassing the extension i wanted to remove the beauty panel so that when i do do the extension i will be sure that it'll come out easy. orying my way around

overall, the panel was a damn pain. i ended up getting 2 wrinkles and some how glue managed to surface through the suede in certain areas. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i'll let it stay like that though. not too big of a concern though not bad for a first timer working with suede and semi complicated shaped panel.

time for the amp beauty panel to get covered

i thought i had a finished result pic of that panel but i didn't. i did take a group **** of all the panels being done.

well!!

tomorrow/today! INSTALLATION!!!! woohoo!. i got a lot of wires to run and a number of wires to extend. i also have to relocate my kinetik but that should be quite quickly, i hope to get an early start and i hope to get all these wires set. i also gotta try out my ktx-100eq for my 9887.

i have a going away party to go to at like 6 so i hope to be done by then.

a lot of hard work has been put into this build. hopefully it will pay off.

oh yeah, here is the very first thing i did with my new camera as soon as it was charged. my first vid!

Coming along nicely!! I may have missed it but when is this supposed to be done?
i gave an ETA of the 15th. i had thought i wouldn't have it completed by then cause of my set backs with working on another persons car. but i think i may make it lol

blehhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm a little tipsy and my back hurts like a mother right now. i just got back from a going away party for a or well used to be co-worker. gonna miss her :/

well today was wiring and installation. at this point my mids and highs are hooked up but i'm not gettin any output from my mids. it's quite strange cause when i removed everything i only removed the amps. that was it. no changes were made to my head unit or anything. how i have low ass highs and no mid. yet, the amp for the mids is on and the proper wiring was completed. i'll have to check it tomorrow.

i put the sub in with the panel and ended up coming across an issue with the panel in place. apparently it's not very happy with the "sandwich" mounting ring of the panel and the enclosure. when i first had it all in i was playign msic and that's when i noticed my mids were completely dead. on top of that i was hearing the chuffing sound and poor output from the sub. when i checked i trunk i had found lots of air moving about. well the sub wasn't mounted in correctly and the panel wasn't allowing it. so i took the sub out and just mounted it without the panel. i have to say, that sub kicked my ass mounting it. i had more trouble with the sub than i did with my XXX 15 or my fully loaded BTL 15. i had to have my brother help me and i ended up having to use my feet. lol.

anyways, as it sits, it's pretty **** loud, needs a lot of adjusting, need to complete the panel modification and installation, need to figure out wtf is wrong with my mids(yes the amp turns on).

i could have been done today but i had to go to that party. oh well. i still got time. anyways here are some pics. i don't feel like captioning them. my back hurts and i just want to lay down.

no vids till it's all done. maybe tomorrow but i really gotta find out what's wrong with the mids.

ontop of that i couldn't install the software for my ktx-100eq on the laptop cause it's a POS vista system. so i gotta figre out how i'm going to do it from my computer. :/
