fbi90909's TC LMS 5400 15 + Saz3000D rebuild + fiberglass

And this is why I need to learn how to fiberglass. xD
it's very easy. i had a friend over on the weekend helping me. he's never glassed in his life and was interested. it took me 1 demonstration on how to mix the resin and lay glass. he thought it was difficult but in reality it's stupid easy. it's all just patience and money to be spending on glassin. shit can get expensive!

alright. it took me a **** long time to have to move all the pictures for today's update on my cell. it wasn't saving to my memory card and to my phone instead. GRRRR

anyways.

lots got accomplished today. much of fine tuning the rear dash panel and the amp panel.

overall everything looks good right now.

i'll let the pics do the explaining here. pretty sure no one reads this anyways :/

first a better pic of what the rear dash panel looked liek when i was done with it last night

cut the ports to length.

next i glued the baffles on(had to have the amp panel and amp rack in order to move the enclosure back to remove and mount the baffle)

time to suede up the rear dash panel. i needed the rear dash panel sueded before i secure the fitment of the ports.

so i began with a nice cut of suede. here it's just laying on the panel for size verification

at this point i have the ports in and the bottom end is currently being glued and sealed to the enclosure. tomorrow i should be able to remove the dash panel again and begin the prep work for the front baffle panel. man that is going to ****. i wonder how it's going to turn out.

if all goes well i may suede up the amp panel. we shall see.

well today i managed to get a bit done with the build. i had to stop around 3pm to complete a double din jensen touch screen head unit and run wires for a sub amp. along wiht that an installation of 2 door speakers for the rear doors. guy wanted 2 more. w/e..

i made an easy 125.00 out of it though haha.

anyways onto the pics

trunk partially secured being pulled out to finish applying the sillicon on the front side of the enclosure for the ports.

after the glue was applied i then began prep work for the sub beauty panel. i started out with grabbing a 15" basket and gasket and taped up the underside so it wouldn't get stuck to the resin

taped up the mounting hole

that's when i had to stop to work on the guys car. ****! if only i hadn't i most deffinetly would have had all the layers needed put on today by the end of the night. GRRRRRRRRRR

anyways the start of the first layer

0513091943-03.jpg

it got dark so i can't take anymore pics(no good flash on camera phone) but i stopped at 10 with the completion of 2 layers. in about an hour i think i'll go back outside and add another 2 layers i wanna get this done!! i'm wasting my vacation time!

on a side note. i bought a Nikon S550 black digital camera on ebay with a bunch of free goodies and a free 4gb sd card for like 135. i had that shit over nighted! woot! UPS tracking says it'll be here tomorrow. finally i can take some better pictures and higher quality vids. i was afraid of not being able to take vids since i don't have a good camera anymore.

thanks for the comments guys.

i just got back from albertsons with a can of NOS(never tried this stuff before) and excedrin back and body pain releivers. i'm about to pop an oxy as wel then jump back in the car. lol, i wanna get this shit done!!! i can't waiiiiiittt....
