Factory tweeters and sound processor inputs

This is a pretty noob question but I couldn't find an answer using the search. Background: my factory head unit connects to two front woofers in the doors, two separate front tweeters in the a-pillars, as well as two rear speakers. There is no additional factory amp.

The JL Cleansweep SSI will sum 3 channels: low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass. The 3Sixty2 will take FR/FL/RR/RL/Center/Sub inputs. Audiocontrol has similar devices that do this too.

I'm not sure where the signals from my tweeters would hook into these processors. For the JL, where do the front/rear/tweeter signals go? For the 3Sixty2, the front speakers go in FR and FR, rears in RR and RL, but where do the tweeters go?

Do I need to combine the tweeteter + front woofers BEFORE plugging them into the sound processor? That seems... suboptimal. Thanks for the help.

I didn't know that my question required the intricate details of my entire planned setup.

The plan, for now, is Infinity Kappa components up front, Kappas in the rear, a JL 10"W3 in the back, powered by a JL HD900/5. Now can you help me with my question?

the equipment your wanting to run actually tells us quite a bit, the components for the front will have their own set of crossovers (passive), they will have a single imput for both the mids and tweets,

you dont have to have a separate place to wire the tweets.

Thanks, but my question isn't about how to wire the components. I know the crossover is simply wired with the +/- speaker wire from the amp.

I need to send a clean, complete signal to the amplifier. To do that I first need to sum all of the sources from the head unit into the Cleansweep/3Sixty2/whatever. The question is, where do the head unit's tweeter speaker wires plug into that sound processor?

Sorry if I'm not being clear.. ?

hmmm.. I thought this was going to be a pretty basic question but I guess not. Can anybody fill me in? I'm kinda stuck until I figure this out. Thanks.

Are you sure your tweeters and mids have their own separate outputs from the HU? That isn't very common. Typically, the only time the signal would be separated like that is at a stock amp.

Unfortunately there's not a ton of info even though the GLK was out in 2010. I don't even know for certain what size speakers go in the rear doors!

I know for the standard, non-H/K system, there is no additional amp or crossover outside of the head unit. Pretty frustrating. I don't have the car, but I was hoping to have everything spec'd out so I could get right to work when it shows up.

so im guessing you have never been in the dash of said car, there is a very good chance that the hu only has front and rear speaker wires, and that it gets split after that to go to the tweeter and mid, im betting you wont have a problem wiring it up, youll really just have to wait till you get into the car to see how things really are.
