Factory HU, Wheres the Remote Wire?

sometimes reffered to as an antenae lead also-- most I have seen ar eblue sometimes with a stripe--not enough information to really know yet.

what model, make, year of car? What name does the radio have stamped on it?

most factory headunits weren't made with a remote wire to add aftermarket amps. if your car doesn't have a power antena it won't have that, and like on my jeep, the antena shuts off when you play a cd. best bet is to tap into the red acc. wire

Factory radios do not have a "Remote Wire" per se, but instead, you have to splice into the switched power wire. To find it, either test the wires in the factory deck's harness till you find one that reads nothing with the car off, and 12v while the car is on -or- look up your car's wiring diagram on http://www.the12volt.com and find the color of the switched power wire.

keep in mind the acc. wire isn't always red //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
