The amp I have coming for my dads 03 silverado doesn't have speaker level inputs, so I want to find the EASIEST Way to hook one up.

I know I can get a LOC and use that, but is there anything that plugs into the factory harness at the Factory HU that provides RCA jacks ? I could have sworn I've seen something like this before but I don't know where to look.

A few new GM vehicles with premium Bose systems don't have a volume-controlled audio output at the head unit; the output is controlled by the factory amplifier via the vehicle's data bus system. For those vehicles, there are special adapters that can be connected to the head unit and provide an RCA output; the adapter module can read the data bus and modulate the output signal.

For a non-Bose head unit a basic line-out converter is still the cheapest and best option.

Looking at PAC's application guide, they say you need the AOEM-GM24 for your application. You have a Bose system, but it's not a fixed-output type like I was talking about before. Onstar shouldn't make a difference when keeping the factory head unit.
