Extra battery. What else do I need?

Ok so I'm starting over from scratch. I have a stock 95a alt in my 95 town car. Not sure about the specs on the regular battery, it's pretty big. I have a 4g ofc going from there to the trunk. I have spare odds and ends of 4g ofc I can use for grounds. What else do I need besides a battery? Also if I use 4g to connect the batteries, can I run 0g from the extra batt to the amp?

The amp I'm looking at is the American bass ph4000md. 2000wrms

what other amps are you going to run ?

total rms from all amps ??

that stock alt is not going to do the job. remember alt. makes power not a battery.

and i would do 1/0 wire and a good under hood battery.

and go from there........

you need at least 1/0 from front battery to rear battery. and a fuse within ~18" of each (2 fuses between batteries)

your not going to run a front stage with amp ??

yeal youll need 1/0 wire not 4 gauge. and definately a bigger alt if you want to run anywhere near 2k

i think a 220A alt and a second battery would be good enough.

Go 0 gauge for all power and ground a 270 alt should work and fuses on bother ends of the power 12-18" from the battery into a distribution block
