Extra Battery + Cap??

it doesnt matter the technology is obsolete and useless in real world applications when it comes to powering your audio setup and has been proven countlessly by every leading paragons of the audio community and many countless tests. So yes those traditional caps are pure garbage in terms of beefing up the electrical system.
Most of the china products today will humiliate old made in USA products from the 1990s to 2000s in both performance, quality and reliability. Only a handful of old school stuff is relevant to today's standards of sound quality and spl.

Here's a made in USA old school amp that cant even handle its rated ohm loads. While some chinese stuff handles half ohm. I'm not supporting china but you gotta give credit where credit is due and those old school caps are pure junk by today's standards and you'd best sell them off before there's no more suckers left in the world that will buy crap like that.

I didn't watch your video, either of them. I am by no means saying all "oldschool" products are superior just because they are oldschool.. For sure some newer china products like a lot of hifonic's newer stuff for example are a nice bit of tech for the price that has for sure come a long way in advancements, and like you said you gotta give credit were credit is due.. and that is said especially for certain oldschool things.. are you forgetting some of pheonix golds old amps? or what about usamps older tube amps?? You are continuously misinterpreting what i am saying / asking.

I hunt down deals for resale in car audio all of the time and mix match certain items and flip them for more profit, it's how i have fun learning new things and getting hands on experience while making money to. Older fosgate fanatics will love this item as a collectors piece or even any audiophile can enjoy it as a of an era when people were fooled by such gimiks. I'm not worried in the absolutely slightest about "selling it while the world is still fool of suckers" ... and besides if all else fails.. the world will always have suckers.. :p

Well as long as you think it's cool and worth 100 bucks that's all that matters lol I am just jealous I didn't sell it to you ! As far as two agm batteries for 300 here you go , 191.98 each less 25% off and free shipping makes them 144.24 each x 2 is 288.48 at advanced auto parts .

i went the route for the flashy looking car audio batteries lol. Shuriken was the cheapest i could find, with a 1500w for around $230 - $240 after taxes. even came with a mounting case, and a sticker! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/santa.gif.e1ec9cf2e0a0dd232ad35aa594a126d0.gif

this is going nowhere... LOL!
Yea i know... i figured out what i needed to know already like 15 comments ago Lol, That yes it is in fact possible to run a cap with a battery and not mess anything up overall. Idk why you are changing the subject of my question completely and trying to teach me things i already know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

These guys DO know their sh*t... I am an oldschooler and I learn everyday... I'm 50 and things have changed since the mid-90's... I've learned a TON from this forum...

Then you just need one right ? What is a 1500 watt battery ? All I know how to tell capacity by is amp hours and all mine are 110 ah , car bats are around 55 ah most of them anyways . Never mind I looked them up , those are only 60 amp hour battery's and you paid 240 for them ? That's all I pay for mine at almost twice the capacity ? Or do they got to be small to fit in install ?

Size was a big factor yes. And i believe it was closer to 220. I'm new to the whole battery thing my self though

And really whats the point if it will only store enough current for a second or too ?
A second or two may be optimistic.

So even oldschool products from some mainstream companies like hifonics, orion, and fosgate are garbage??? This is a pre-china cap is it not?
The pre-China stuff is 20 years old now and whatever they were in their hay-day they are prone to failure due to age. Also technology in semiconductors has come an awful long way... think of what your 1999 PC or cell phone looked like. While perfectly functional for playing music most of that stuff is still terribly obsolete.

300 bucks can buy me a couple of batteries? can you please show me what batteries? (seriously though lol) Either way i only planned on running this cap temporarily if even at all... But it was for sure a good score for that price.. and my main reason for buying it was resale and if you can't see that as an overall good decision i don't know what else to say.
I bought a couple 55AH size from Oreiley's a few years ago for around 160 a pop, Penn made store brand "platinum" series. Shop around, wait for a good sale or coupon and the 150 price tag isn't unreasonable. More recently I bought a few 110 AH "Duracell" branded Penn at Batteries Plus for around 270 a pop.

Here's a made in USA old school amp that cant even handle its rated ohm loads.
Hey, I found a 20+ year old amp that failed trying to drive a resistor bank at lowest rated impedance.

There is still a lesson here in that the even newest old school amps that would be worth owning (for anything beyond the sake of nostalgia/collecting) are still rather obsolete A/B designs and at the tail end of the life expectancy of most of the components. I'm very confident that if you bought 100 Chinese/Korean amps today few if any would fare as well 20 years from now.

battery price can be deceiving sometimes, paying more for a battery with similar capacity (usually slightly more) can be worth it because the lead is more refined and "virgin" (higher lead content versus other problematic metals) thus giving them longer cycle life

duracell agm 55ah 34/78s are about $130 at sams club which i think is a great deal
