Extending speaker wire...

Right now i have 12 guage monster cable for my sub and it needs to be longer with my new amp im getting since its on the same side as the power and ground which my old amp is was by the RCA's... So i need to get a little more wire and it would be easier to do this rather to unscrew the box and all that....

Should i just solder it and call it a day, wont affect performance of speaker wire right, I solder regular wire all day didnt know if speaker wire was diff.

Should be fine...cover it in heatshrink tubing if you really want to be sure it's well insulated.

yeah solder or even crimp some together
