extending battery wires to put batt in rear

i need to put my starter batt behind my seats (in front of the wall)

to do this, should i just chop off the battery terminal ring things on the end of the stock pos and neg wires, and extend to the rear, and then put new rings on them and re attach to the batt?

how would i go about extending it? what size should i use? should i use a fuse block on both to extend it, and it would be fused as well....?

Might be better off w/ a distro block then, but I dont know how pratical it is to go from 8awg to 1/0.

Might be better if you just re ran the whole thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

just use 4ga then. unless i read something wrong, youre simply moving the battery under your hood to the back. the oem wires that are going on to your battery need to be extended to the back. why not just slap on a distro and run 4awg wire to the back? how many 8awg wires are going on to the positive terminal?

according to your sig you have plenty of battery power dedicated to your amps so i dont see why you would need 1/0 to run some little oem cables a little father back.

some one correct me if im wrong here please
