I have the setup in my sig, no box yet just testing becasue i kept blowing fuses.

Well today i got my anl fuses and holder, hooked them up and that solved the blowing fuses problem, But im getting a major Dim in my lights like its day time outside and i can see them dimming even my gauge lights and a/c lights dim bad.

Not only that,(it may because my sub is kinda new and not in a box) but its not bad , but i can smell my vc or sub getting warm.

My sub is a dual 1 ohm and i have it hooked up with one coil + to - and then other coil + to + on the amp and - to - on the amp. Isnt that how i would wire it in a series to 2 ohms from my jbl? bridged with 1100 rms?

Just tel me if that all sounds setup right and what may be causing the smell and really bad dimming ive never had. Thanks

anyone? Im thinking right now my amp has too much of a current pull from my alt/batt so i may have to get a smaller amp or one that doesnt pull as much current?

Your amp is not the problem it is the wiring.

Where is the amp grounded at?

Make sure that amp is grounded with at LEAST 4awg wiring to bare metal

Upgrade the neg- wire on the battery under the hood with some of that 4awg wire

If problems still happen upgrade the positive wire from the alternator to the battery with 4awg wire and ground the engine block with 4awg wire

Are you using the vehicles stock battery (one that came with the car)?

Get the battery tested, new batteries arent that bad and im people who buy optima batteries are usually very satisfied.

The ground is good using 4 awg.

Im sure with this amp i need the big 3 done but i still kinda want to sell it.

I have a interstate battery right now but, plan to get a optima battery soon.

the big 3 is a lot easier and cheaper to do then most people think. especially with 4awg. dont give up.
