any advice on installing subs( what way to face them to sound best for a explorer)

will a larger 6.5 fit in front & back doors?

Subs back, port back for good output and great SQ... Subs up, port back for more output less SQ. As for 6.5's I have CDT HD-M6 braxials in front and 6.5" eDi 6500's in the rear. The rear is a bit tight in the front but I haven't had a problem with rubbing. With a longer excursion mid you might run into problems.... This is in a 92' XLT 4dr btw.. Second gen and newer might be better/worse for speaker placement.
