looking at upgrading audio in Tacoma

i am looking at several options including Hybrid Audio Technology (stage 3 unity fronts and stage 1 6x9 rear) and Arc amp 50x4.

BUT as i was doing research i ran across some focal speakers.

focal ps165 FX for fronts--award winning speakers and pc710 for rears.

which speaker system would be best? any additional speakers i should consider for the price

my question is would the focal PC710 (7x10) fit in the rear doors?

apparently these come with 6x9 spacers. i have never had door panel off and don't know how much room is available.

thoughts/concerns on speaker choices?

focal set up will be around 140.00 more.

thanks

that brings me to my next point.

i will be retaining the factory radio.

i have read the signals are all jacked up coming from the factory so...

i buy the arc audio amp will hit have enough processing/tuning ability built in or

would i need to buy something like a audio control lcq-1?

really appreciate your help

get rid of the factory radio before you invest money into expensive speakers and amps..your signal source is very important

unless the 2016 tacomas come with a radio any better than anything ever used OEM before..

Perfect world you will want a real DSP that has a De-EQ feature like the Audison bit 10 or 1

yeah and i have no doubt it defies what standard OEM radios do, not to mention you had to likely put a good amount of time in to workaround the stock head unit nuances lol
Not really. The MS-8 did

i bet if you got rid of your stock headunit, and replaced it with an aftermarket headunit, and of course adjusted the settings accordingly... it would sound better

No. You don't make any adjustments on the Headunit. Only volume. USB audio would probably be better if I used it.
im referring to modifying your EQ and gain to match the new headunit output.. not familiar with the ms-8 but i assume you'll need to modify gain if the input signal is increased thus increasing the dsp pre out signal.

1. so if you were buying speakers 6.5 components and 6x9 coaxial for 300 per set which would you buy?

2. is there a amp made that has the adjustability as a bit 10 that i could buy in the 3-400 range
