Excessive Amperage Alternator broke 4 months after I bought it

I bought it for my car after my stock alternator went, and now 4 months later the voltage regulator broke. So now I had to ship it back to Nate (paid shipping was not offered, I had to pay for it out of pocket) and hope it comes back in time for me to leave for school (the 30th). I cannot call him this weekend because he is not opened, but I wanted to know if it is standard practice for companies to same day or next day air parts back like this, being that I now have a dead car becuase of his alternator.

Depends on whether you're willing to pay for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So I am supposed to pay for it becuase his alternator couldn't even go 4 months without breaking? That is complete bullshit.

not excessive amperage. i told nate i needed my alt back by a certain date because i was leaving for florida and he said he could do that, and of course he didn't. still waiting for a good alt from him

Didn't say I agreed with the practice.
Depends on the owner's business ethics, and I wouldn't assume the best case.
Well either way i need it for next day air, and if he pays for it, i will consider him "making good" of the situation. If not, I will go out of my way to make sure people know not to buy his alternators.

it's not gonna happen. i asked him if he could have it done by a certain date and he didn't. this is gonna be my 3rd alt from him for the same car.

Then ill file a complaint with the BBB if he doesn't have it back to me in a timely fashion, and I will be relentless on here and all the other audio forums making sure people don't buy his Alts.

should have bought a real alternator before killing your first one with your stereo. i keep everything, garage looks like the back at autozone.

my EA starts charging a little higher rpm than i'd like, but i'm about to ship it back to nate to be set up to charge lower. seems like a pretty nice guy, just swamped with hundreds of orders for delicate custom pieces. maybe needs to hire someone to sort and forward his emails. i doubt i could do any better, especially around christmas time while im trying to work in family time. can't blame the guy for taking a week or two's vacation, all he doing for us is work, same as you all do at your jobs.

now if my alternator comes back ****ed up, or no better than i send it out, then there are problems //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
