today my girlfriend and i got into a agruement over my system. she says i spend too much money buying and selling everything. shes like" why do you have to have that much bass, do you need attention from other people. do u think your cool with your windows down." she said that systemsare for highschoolers,lol. i think your never to old to have a system. i was getting pretty pissed with her so we will just leave it at that. why do yall have systems though is my question? i just love the bass for my own enjoyment and gives me something to do.

Same here, I enjoy not only hearing my music but feeling it as well. There is a HUGE difference. A sub gives you so much more than stock speakers cannot.

I can understand the point she was trying to make. I dont want to be heard blocks away boomin away and disturbing the neighborhood. I just want clean sound with a solid punch as I am cruisin the highways or sittin in rush hour traffic.

x2 on teh hobby...that is why i do it...but for many of us i think we would agree that it has gone past a hobyb adn to a passion...or obsession....lol, but really, some of us even run ou own shops ect...and are making on it...so its not just throwing money away...were also making it

By you saying that sentence right there, it means you need to get your priorities in order. hehe. But I have my system and tv and stuff for my enjoyment, I like the sound better than stock, and if you are going to upgrade from stock, gotta go all out and do it right. And like someone said it's a hobby.

Just curious, did you come back at her about her spending money on stuff she spends money on?

Same here. If my front stage could play flat down to 15Hz, I wouldn't have a need for subs.

I hate people who give the hobby a bad reputation by invading everyone else's personal airspace when they come to a stoplight.

I got subwoofers because I love listening to music as I drive, and I like it loud because it blocks out the road noise/wind noise. Plus it just feels good feeling the vibrations of a sick bass line.
