everything stopped working

hey gusy, can u guys help me!

i was just driving back from work, and all of a sudden, everythign stops working. my head unit is the only thign that was on.

i checked the fuse near the batt, that was fine, i chekced the fuses on the amps, they were all good. and i checekd all the connection. everythings flawless. but both my amps, for sub and mid/highs arent powering up. can i assume that its just my head unit? thats the only thing i havnt checked yet. i dont ahve much time to take my dash out today. and its highly unlikely that both amps will have something go wrong at the same time right? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i chekced the remote wire to the amps, but not the back of the hu yet. im gona have to do that next week. i asked my dad, and he thinks me hu is gone. is it possible that the dsiplay and everything works, but all channels blown?.. just randomly?

prolly not....id check tha remote in tha back of tha hu....my friend had tha same problem

Sometimes fuses will appear to be perfectly fine when they are, in fact, blown.

x2 A DMM is also handy in your situation

check your grounds.

yea i checked ground. i have some solid grounds on the shock tower. mkay. ill check remote wire tmw. and check fuses with DMM.

good luck! when everything stopped working for me, it was cause the remote wire got undone or the ground wasn't good enough (didn't use ring terminals the first time=/ ).

got it working. but i think im having smoe heat problems with the fuse from batt. my fuse holder was melted slightly, and pulled one end of the fuse off the wire. but the first check of the fuse, i didnt catch it. how can i prevent the fuse from overheating and melting my fuse holder? .. or what does that mean with my wiring?

u need to up grade your wire what size are you running
