i dont know but my personal opinion is that states like california, texas, florida and other sunshine states shouldnt have problems with tint. if someones tint is really THAT bad then make them take it off but dont bother with tickets

i know, i will hate any cop that tickets me for tint too, but i mean it is illegal lol...its like speeding, ur breaking the law...

I live in CA and my buddy has double 5% wrapped around his whole car. His windshield is 70%. He has never gotten pulled over once for his tint in 2 years. I have 5% around my back and 35% on the sides...no problems yet..

its a little bit different over here in my city down in the great state of Tejas...its 25% in the front and 5% in the back 2 and rear windows....man ive been wanting to do 5% all the way around but i cant get another ticket...some of my homeboys have 5% all around and havent got stopped yet for it, and its been like a year or 2...luck i guess

the law for the front sides is 25%. but when you actually go to buy the tint you want to buy 35% cause the glass itself blocks light a bit. so you put 35% on the glass and if you get metered it should read about 25%...just what the local custom shop told me...I have 5% all around.

Your tint is illegal and you know it. Its a risk you took when you had it installed. Anyone else who complains or thinks it is dumb, then don't get it installed. Contact your congressman to get the law changed, or simply comply to the law(s). It's also illegal having a license plate frame on your tag in Florida, but it's a risk I run, and if I get a ticket because of it, I'm not going to wine or brag about it.

Anywho... I get tint tickets every now and then. I've only been pulled over once for tint being the only cause.

In Oklahoma they can give you a DUI for being within 20ft of your car while intoxicated...not even in the car!
