Maybe if they cleared out all the dead accounts, they could leave the pm's alone. But then there would only be 500 members on the site.

I've mentioned this to Goob numerous times yet it always falls on deaf ears. I can only assume at this point that Goob stands to benefit from having all the dead accounts (forum appears larger than it actually is = more ad money).

Those people are not manufacturing or selling new products. They are buying used and reselling. A lot of it is trading here as well. They don't need a vendor status to do that.

like i said I KNOW 2 of the whiners are bulk sellers of new items that they buy cheap and resell at a profit...

So Goob makes changes that actively cost us money and you say "Why isn't Goob allowed to make money???" Now he makes changes that remove features from the free accounts and you claim its not money related? Make up your mind. Anyway you slice it this PM reduction cuts costs for Goob.

My statements do not contradict each other. Again, I dont see this latest change generating any significant revenue increase for Goob. Do you really think he's going to, or even expects to, make any significant amount of money off dropping PM's from 150 to 100?

Yeah...I like the make a thread option better than pm's. That way everyone can air their laundry out in public, instead of "Keep it to pm's". . Either way ya slice it, this forum will have the least amount of pm's allowed out of any site there is. And he charges the most for a basic membership. Everything is censored so he can keep the google money coming in. So where in all of this does it equate to the site owner not increasing profit?

When you say 'everything' is censored, you call nude/semi-nude pics, and the N word, everything? Both choices were made in an effort to improve this site, not generate cash flow.

If they want to run a business, or operation, or whatever you want to call it, that generates 100 PM's more often than they want to simply go in and clean out their PM's, then they are generating enough profit that 3 bux a month wont make or break them, and then they will have a lot more PM's then they do now.

Seems to me most of the complaining revolves around transactions being made here, but people are unwilling to get off 3 dollars to make those sales as easy as possible. Several of those people are implying/suggesting this is all about Goob making more profit. Do I even need to point out the obvious double standard going on here?

And the majority of the ones who do notice it are noticing it because they are using the site to sell items. If $3 makes or breaks your profit margin, Id suggest a different sales approach altogether.

You log on and have to read 100 PM's every time you come here? No offense, but I find that hard to believe. And even if its true, I think that sort of exposure for your sales is worth 3 bux a month.

I have 5 or so at least everytime but after a couple days it's almost full... I have cleared it twice now just cuz of one deal trying to work out the details
