Not all of us work from the same computer that's the thing. During the course of a week I could be using 3-4 different devices (both mobile and desktops) and there really isn't a place for me to save all my stuff. Honestly I don't see why just keeping the inbox size at a large volume is such an issue. Plain text doesn't take up hardly any space at all, and web space nowadays is cheap. Hell you can get hosting from godaddy with unlimited space for like 7 bucks a month

If 3 bucks is a big problem, then do as Mike suggested and use the export option. Even if you use a mobile device to browse the forum regularly, you should be able to get to your computer with a storage device at least once in a while. If you get more than 100 PM's between trips to your lappy or pc, spend the 3 bucks. Im sorry if this is an inconvenience for some of you, but honestly, the number of people who get 100 pm's on their iphone while on break at work in a day's time, is a relatively small percentage of the members here.

If you think Goob is using this to extort money out of that small percentage of the members here, then I think your perspective is a bit skewed.

So Goob makes changes that actively cost us money and you say "Why isn't Goob allowed to make money???" Now he makes changes that remove features from the free accounts and you claim its not money related? Make up your mind. Anyway you slice it this PM reduction cuts costs for Goob.
