AC to DC power for the home

I am attempting to build a jukebox for my house and want to run a car stereo setup inside the jukebox. The jukebox needs to run off an AC powered source.

Will the Stinger SPS60 work as a DC power converter which can run right into a car amplifier?

not to sound like a complete douche, but there are several threads that have been started pretty much asking the exact same thing. check in the general discussion area and you will see what im talking about. remember search is your best friend

yes it can, but those stringers do generate a large amount of heat. I have done a few jukeboxes for customers but I refuse to use head units or amps from the mobile electronics for them. It makes the build cost a great deal more, and will be more maintenance/headache then it is worth.

meh do it right and use HT equipment there is zero reason to use CA in a home.

I figured you would get the most power and best sound quality for music using car audio components. Not sure what the best stuff to use would be because I dont want to buy a whole stereo receiver to put inside this jukebox which I want to be hidden and not have to mess with. Plus this jukebox will be running off a PC motherboard inside the jukebox RCA out through the audio port.
