Enough space for 2 12s?

yeah that 5cf box at bottom should work well, 1 port better most times, less contact with wood air has the better + uses less wood less air space
Okay cool going to build one next week and also shoes the subs on side with port should I just put the subs top and port side?

well i'd do port and subs same side but idk suv's and guys that saw sub up port back like shredder said., look at boomin_tahoe avatar except maybe easier 4 u to keep port against side of box like n that diagram instead of middle port.. if i see pic what i'm talking about i'll give u link..

Why? In a 97 Explorer what are the dimensions?.. width x height x depth... use your window line/seatback height as the height and the approximate port width with to get your depth and leave clearance to the tailgate... if for example you have 30 inches depth and have a 4" wide port you will have 26" max available... if the math is too much you may consider asking someone to do this... if so you might as well have someone model these and design a box... That way you are certain It'll be spot on

for exactly your specific drivers.

Not trying to be an azz, but why would someone buy subs and then ask if they had enough space? What if you didnt? If you have an Explorer then yes you do.
IDK why someone with an Explorer would ask this unless he can't crunch the numbers himself... maybe has dimensions for another enclosure for another ride and needs to adapt it to the Explorer? I haven't owned an Explorer in 7 years myself so what fits is a mystery to me...

Did the op get this? It's a little hard to read on my 1360 x 768 resolution... looks like 4.4ft3 net 72.5 in2 x 29" long tuned to 34hz... with cut sheet also included... nice, I hope he can make out the details... and it IS for his driver... not a cookie cutter box like the link...
