mechman 250amp alt(135 at idle) yellow top under the hood and two deka 1231mh batts. will this be enough for two audiopipe3ks at 1.33each?

Audiopipes do not like to be ran less than 2 ohms I haven't seen anyone do.it successfully yet no matter what their electrical looked like.

im running one now at 1.33 have been sense last december. i do know with no extra batts and a 70amp alt i dip into the low 10s sometimes and the amp goes into protect but is still working to this day.

I have seen NUMEROUS ap3k's at 1ohm, my best friend is running 8 12s off one at 1ohm just fine, after rise its seeing just under 2ohm

Simple math, most class d amps run with about 60-70% efficiency at 1 ohm (generalized not exact), since the AP 3k is 2 1500d strapped at 1 ohm, your asking it to run below 1 ohm each thus making it less efficient.

Just for this we will still say it is working at 60%eff

Power= Amps*Volts

Input Power * efficiency = Output Power

So if you want 6kw of output, you would need 10,000 watts of input power.

Now Back to P=A*V, 10000=A*14.4volts, you would draw roughly 700amps if you can maintain a solid 14.4 volts. This is not realistic in most cases so you would need even more with voltage drop.

In short, No you do not have nearly enough. And these are Optimal figures you will never get in the real world.

havent been on this ***** in a while, but the way i see it is your running more than 6k, they make 3k ech at 2 ohm so why the hell would they still make 6k lower? granted you wont constantly be drawing but i say to be on the safe side replace your front batt, get another in the rear, and run like 3 or 4 runs front to back, you should see very little voltage drop and your gona wana be extra safe running those audiopipes under 2 ohms, ive seen them run at 1ohm but the electrical is always crazy. rule of thump when going down in ohms go up in electrical lol
