hello there its not actually a vs. im about to change my set up but i have a few doubts about the difference on spl and sq. and im looking for a few suggetions and experiences
i want to get obvious louder with new set up
ACTUAL SETUP
type r 12¨ 500 RMS
1.6 cuft with dont remember if 35 or 40 sqinch of port @38hz
oldschool eclipse hitting it with ¨500rms¨ (around 600 rms actually)
NEW SETUP IS OR WILL BE (I already have the stuff here, just watting to decide the size of box)
2 type R 10s swr 1042
Rockford oldschool power 1000db
i know (in theory) will hit harder with these 2 Rs but not sure about the box
was thinking 1.8 after subs and port for both subs
and 40 sqinch of port @35-40,
but not sure about spl and sq of it any experience? used to listen rap and hip hop to hit hard will be daily box nothing for comps
but also thinking about a removable port to put of course mooore port just to hit bit harder loosing musical sound, not sure if is a possibility (more work to do, so maybe just daily and not removable port)
im going to take the amp down to 1 ohms subs are new so the coils, manual says not stable to 1ohms but i did a research and many people said this thing goes down to 1 with no problem, and a few guys said the talked to rockford fosgate support team and they told him the amp is stable at 1.33 ohms but because of the they couldt not say is 1 ohms stable.
