Enclosure type

Thanks, I have seen the 12" challenge over at Realm of Excursion and saw that for SQ the reviewer didn't think that the RL-P was that great of a SQ driver and rated the Fi Q above it, but many people have said that the RL-P has better SQ than the Q. I am also curious about the Stereo Integrity BM and TC sounds TC-2000 and TC-3000, and input and help is appreciated immensely as I am totally new to the world of car audio.

sealed vs ported which is better sq hmmmmm SEALED
Ok, like I said I am new to this so I am just trying to get the info. And if anyone can answer my question about which of the subs I listed has the best SQ to you, please respond.

The RL-P is a great sq driver. For a sq install sealed is the way to go. As for the other subs I havent heard a mag or BM but a TC2000 is basicaly the same sub as the RL-P. They both use a TC( motor made by TCSounds. And I have a TC3000 and IMO the RL-P/TC2000 sounds better

A ported enclosure can have awesome SQ. As good as or better than a sealed enclosure.

A correctly buiilt and tuned ported enclosure will give better output without losing SQ.

First off, sealed is always your best bet when looking for SQL rather than spl, make sure you put dampening material in the box such as polyfil which you can get from your local wal mart for less than $8. I personally haven't heard the rlp, but my brother does have a tc2000, which are very similar. From my understanding the tc-2000 does get louder, and lower with 28mm of xmax, but either way you cant go wrong
