its a rule of thumb to stay above to not get port noise but you should get as much as you can always.yes i know.. but is there a limit to the 12-16 inches per cube ft ruleso far flared ports is the only flared ports gets away with cheating that rule
I haz a hemi, ends up averaging 15mpg. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifWe can trade trucks mine gets 12mpgs city //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
wrongCuz hifonics is bad. 12-16 of port area per cubic foot is what they say
Yep, keep port area lower to accomodate for a weaker woofer. ~25in^2 for a 12" Hifi is plety. No need for a 2-2.5ft^3 box with 32-40in^2 of port, because like you said, it'll fall on it's face without enough air spring in the box.wrong
if you give 16 sq inches to a hifi its going to fall on its face, not enough linearity or motor force to handle that much port are.
So im not wrong. IT lacks motor force and linearity, which tells me its a sucky sub. so im rightwrong

I like rockford fosgate is ok and they also say 1 3inch diameter port for 1.75cube p1 12 also a low power wooferSo im not wrong. IT lacks motor force and linearity, which tells me its a sucky sub. so im right
