Enclosure for 2 alpine type R's? (Help)

after coming on this forum I realize that there is so much more to car audio that i ever imagined. I recently bought 2 alpine type R's and Have the alpine mono 1000w amp that matches them. silly me I cut out bigger holes in a bassworx 10' sealed box to fit them in, I had no idea about cubic inches and Hz settings and how important the right enclosure is to have, so first off, thanks to everyone who shares their knowledge and helps us annoying newb's out...

the alpine type r's are a very common sub, and Im sure there is a few people out there that have made a box for them or are in the same boat as me and want designs for them, so what enclosure system I should go with, and what should the settings be to match the box, remember, im new

I plan on building one my self so your designs and plans would be greatly appreciated, I know there is a "sticky" on here with a whole bunch of "box plans" and what not but im not sure which one is the right one.

I have a 2000 toyota echo with a medium-small trunk, the smaller the box the better, but at the same time I want the best performance from my subs

thanks everyone!

IMO, I think your amp needs to be stronger and 1.5cu ft is too small.

you should measure your trunk so we can see how much room you have to work with. Optimally you should give each R about 2.5 cubes (at least that seems to be the consensus on here) Also do echoes have folding rear seats?? could make for easier installation...

this one would work

3.531cu ft internal
38Hz tuning

¾: MDF

32” wide x 14” tall x 17.5” deep

Port = 12.5” tall x 3.5” wide

Length will be an L on either side : 12.5” deep and then 3.75” behind each sub
is this box design best for all cars or just the echo' i was lookin around 4.5 @ 44hz

Ok a measured my trunk....

height - 20"

depth - 26"

length before taper 50"

length after taper 38''

my seats fold back.

BTW "SicAudio" do you have a diagram of that set up? it would help

then that box that I posted should fit. Just make a cardboard mock up to make sure before you start wasting MDF. you can always subtract an inch or 2 here and there and add it back where you have space. Just aim for 2.0-2.5cubes a piece at 32-35hz.
