I've been seriously thinking about downsizing....I'd like to have some trunk space...I was contemplating going with a single 12"....But I'd want one that can handle my SAZ1500D.....Got any ideas on what I could get that would allow me to get a good bit of trunk space back and yet sound good....

Looks good and interesting idea on routing out the grooves. You going to do any bracing for the bottom as that seems to be a pretty big panel?

the bottom will be on the bottom of the car, dont think it would flex to much if its sitting on the bottom of the car but i dunno

Just because the bottom is sitting on the floor doesn't mean it won't flex.

I'm running a single 12" Fi Q w/ BP on an SAZ1500D in ~2.0 cubes tuned around 35 hz. The sound quality is great. When I measured I am running about 1300 RMS to it right now and the dust cap just gets slightly warm. Good option.
