Enclosure Build for local: pair of 12's

I leave a .5" inset on the sides

And yea, my storage unit has a light bulb and a 20-amp circuit with a pair of outlets right now...and it really isnt expensive either, it's a much nicer storage complex than most though. Once I have more lighting and more circuits in there I may have to pay like 5-10 bucks more a month but it'll be much nicer and come winter-time it'll be much needed running heaters etc in there...which probably wont be hard to keep it warm either...units on 3 sides of me, ceiling is insulated, and its a small space...the 2.5 car garage with a loft above it was freakin cold in the winter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Wow! Great work man!

Should sound really clean.

I wish I had all the tools and whatnot to do box building. Relying on neighbors and friends to use tools is such a PITA because you have to fit into THEIR schedule. Really don't wanna drop $$ to buy tools ATM, but I suppose it's a great investment. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Thanks

And yea, if youre getting into it, tools are a great investment. But I intend to eventually get a living in the 'real' woodworking world...maybe cabinetry, furniture, etc.

I've built a couple of boxes and went out and bought an assload of tools all at once. Really put a hurtin on me. For the most part I'm set now, all i really need is a table saw. Using a skillsaw with a guide is getting old.

ive built a couple boxes for w1's, well like 4 boxes...and going by jl's specs seems to really be the best ive seen in sound, when i made a box for 2 of them i just double the dimensions for everything and it was sealed, they sound pretty legit, its in a tahoe, the other in a bmw 325i and another in a gmc 2500 hd, they all sound good for entry level subss

Thanks guys.

Got it structurally done today, carpeting within a day or so (just need to get to parts express)

Baffles mounted along with the port pieces attached to them..

Thanks. And yea, it is nice having somewhere to do stuff like this...it honestly isnt too expensive though if you look around for a storage place like this.
