Anybody know much about the new speakers? I know their old stuff was good, but haven't heard the new lineup yet.

I currintly have 2 alpine type r 10's in seperate ported boxes and 2 alpine 700w class d amps.

I want to get 3 of the Elemental designs Kv.2 12's and one more of the alpine amps, wall off my trunk, put each one in its own 1.5cf slot port box tuned to about 30hz and pound away. I just want to know if these are still as good as Elementals old stuff.

also, how do they compare to adire shivas? they are the same price, and similar specs, but as far as sound goes, which is better? louder?

how much louder would the shiva's be? the elemental designs are soooooo mush sexier, but if the shivas are a good bit louder then........
we cant tell u since they arent out yet, but suposedly they are going to be as good if not better than the old O's so that would make them overall better than the shivas....

who knows when they will actually come out...... when they do though im sure they will be awesome drivers.
Like all the other discontinued lines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

They have no clue how or if they function //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boring.gif.42c69fa49b1e73e6332d62b462a2a4b3.gif

ok, which one is flat out louder? if anyone really knows? I like both, but I think with my lower power amps (~325 rms @ 2 ohms) I think the Kv.2's would do better, but I'm not sure, it looks like the shiva's do pretty good with less power too. errr decisions decisions. I've heard good things about both companies, and I like the new features of the Kv.2's but the shiva seems to stick around no matter what, so........

Fine, the Shivas are louder...

Shivas: cheap, available, get loud, sound good, handle low and high power, Adire.

K and O series: eD, nuff said, do research, no clue.

Go with the Shivas!

Kv2 is a pretty efficient sub. I'm using the 13Kv.2 in my car with 200 watts and it does very well..haven't used a Shiva to compare. But, I'm technically biased, so wait for a couple weeks and you *should* be hearing more reviews, FINALLY.

Anyways, the Shiva is the sure thing right now, but most people will find the Kv2's more appealing (cosmetically speaking). One thing I can say is that the Kv2 doesn't need a big enclosure. I have it in 1.3 cubes, and I think I'm going to go with a final volume of around 1.1 when I get my production version.

Another good option is the IDv3; may not handle a lot of power, but ID makes nice stuff.
