correct, playing music it will not draw a constant 170 amps, not even close.. if it did it would fry up after probably like 5 minutes because of excessive heat. But yeah it is going to draw more current at 1 ohm than at 2 ohms, its just physics. I dont know that much about amplifiers though but just using simple equations its pretty obvious. and it makes sense that it would be tested to pull around 160-170 amps at 1 ohm and then be benched by the company to pull 114 if it were at 2 ohms. I'm not positive but usually when i see its specs and all that they dont list its power at 1 ohm, which means maybe they didnt really intend on having people run it at 1 ohm but since it will normally hold up ok maybe they decided to let people run it like that.. who knows..
