Electronics not working when car is off

Okay so i installed a aftermarket radio in my 02 Ford Taurus. At first i just hooked up the wires to see what is was like and put the stock radio back in but when i connected the stock one nothing worked. The radio didnt turn on the windows, locks or car remote didnt work. When i hooked the aftermarket radio back up everything worked when the key was in the ignition but not when its out. Cant even pop the trunk or unlock the doors without the key. I checked all the fuses and there all fine. When i installed it i just hooked the yellow wire to the power wire instead of the battery... could that be a problem?

check the fuses again. all of them. what yellow wire? from the head unit? did you have a harness? do you have a test light?

Yea the yellow wire from the head unit. I had a harness and i have a test light.

there should be a yellow wire on the harness that u connect the yellow from the head unit to. which kit did u use? did u run the harness all the way back and bypassed the amplifier? this is not a common problem and maybe something completely unrelated just a coincidence.
