I got a couple questions to ask..

What wire would you guys prefer 1/0 or 0 awg?

The color of the wire doesn't make a difference right?

Do you guys also buy the ring terminals at welding supply? If not, where at?

If im running it on a SUV, how many feet should i buy? I want it to be enough for the Big 3 also.

I'll be running an Orion 2500D what kind of ANL fuse should i buy?

Since i'll be running to amps, do i need to buy a distro block that breaks from 1/0 to 4 awg? or is there one where i can break it down bigger?

Which distro blocks would you guys recommend?

Thanks,

-Dante

1/0 and 0 gauge is the same. color doesn't matter. 1/0 terminals can get at an auto store or shops of the like. i have a car and i'm getting 15 ft for the big 3 to be safe. you need 2 150A anl fuses for the 2500d (dual power/ground). just run 1/0->4 gauge. check out knukonceptz or tsunami for some distros. maybe egay.

buy 30-40 feet to be sure (can always sell the extra)

1/0 and 0 are the same.. the 1 is a prefix stating how many 0's will follow .. like 2/0 is 00 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I got all my stuff locally... be easier I bet to buy the terminals from them and cheaper.

Color is pretty

WOW... it's the same thing. The proper way of saying it is "One Ott"...

The color of the wire doesn't make a difference right?

WOW... it certainly doesn't. It's just a colored jacket...

I have, they work... but they're large/thick... and if you need to stack multiple terminals... it's not easy... almost possible.

If im running it on a SUV, how many feet should i buy? I want it to be enough for the Big 3 also.

I'd buy 18ft. of positive, 4ft. of ground, and 6-7ft total for the big-3.

I'll be running an Orion 2500D what kind of ANL fuse should i buy?

I'd run at least a 150amp, dedicated to the orion...

Since i'll be running to amps, do i need to buy a distro block that breaks from 1/0 to 4 awg? or is there one where i can break it down bigger?

I'd look into HookerAudio distro's that have ring terminal outs, OR Phoenix Gold Distro's from JohnEcon2001 on this board...

Which distro blocks would you guys recommend?

See above...

Also, where do you n00bxs get these crazy questions???

I dont know.. i just woke up this morning, turned on the comp, and decided to make a kinda useful thread. lol.

I get my terminal rings off ebay, lightning audio crimped rings are pretty cheap. I use 250amp ANL fuses from the alt to the battery and battery to amp. I have a couple extra I can send ya for $3 shipping is ya want. then you can just buy fuse holders without the fuses to save a few bucks.

guy022077 might have rings and fuse holders just a little slow in shipping.

You mean a common knowledge thread?
