Electrical upgrades

Hi all im currently pushing 1200w rms and will be upgrading to 2100w rms and i still only have 90a alternator and single acid battery up front. Big three is already done. My issue is that i tried to intall a HO alternator but i cant because i have a supercharger kit and an idler pulley is attatched to the alternator. The HO alternator does not have the mounting hole for the pulley so i cant use it. Can i get away with extra batterys in the back untill i buy a different car that i can put an alternator in? Im not sire what to do. Any advice?

I have an idler pulley that is not a factory pulley attatched to the altenator housing for my supercharger. The HO alternator does not have the mounting hole i need. It simply wont work unless i took my supercharger off and went back to stock. Ill take pics later tonight.

Get the 2nd batt. With 2k you might not need a HO alt.

I'm just over 2k with stock alt and 2 H7 agm batts. No dimming etc.

You might want to put an agm battery up front dude, the largest that fits. Like smoke said, I also have a stock alt albeit it is 150amp, have a d3400 up front and a d975 in the back, and also no dimming on the set up in my sig.

Bringing up an old post but i have a 90a altenator. I was looking at kinetic hc600 batteries. Could i run 3 or 4 of them in the trunk and keep my lead acid up front?

It is not recommended to mix lead acid and agm

Some people do with zero problems others have trash batteries after

The lead acid rest at a lower voltage so they will constantly draw down the agms

Put 1 hc600 up front and the rest in the rear

Why can't you add the mounting hole on your h/o alt for the idler pully

I'm sure a shop would do it for a hundred bucks or so

Also why 3-4 smaller bats and not just 2 larger ones?

It will be on a battery isolator so the lead and agm will only be connected together when the car is running so resting voltage shouldnt matter. I work at a shop so i know it cant be done. Also hc600 costs $50 each and a larger agm cost $250. Cheaper to get multiple small ones.

Its an aftermarket supercharger and the idler pulley is not factory i added it in to get the correct belt tension on the supercharger. The HO does not have the same flange i can drill into like the factory one.
