Electrical Upgrades?

Hello, I have two situations here, one is for my friend and one for me. Basically both of our cars are stock right now, but as soon as we get enough money, were going to be getting some subs, h/u, the whole deal.

Well my question is what kind of electrical upgrades will i need for say 2200 watts (aq 2200d) I was planning on a redtop up front, big 3 in 0/1 awg, but i really don't want to spend the money on a new alt. so would new wires and a battery be enough?

And for my friend, he wanted to know what electrical upgrades he would need for 4400 watts (2 aq 2200d's) obviously a new battery and 4 or lower awg, but what else?

Since both alts are stock I'm assuming they put out between 120-175 amps but I cant find out for sure.

Cliffs:

Need to know what electrical upgrades i need for 2200 watts in one car and 4400 watts in another

For the 2200 watts you should be fine with upgrading your wiring, upgrading your front battery, and it'd be a good idea to add a decent-sized battery to the rear as well....an alt upgrade probably wont be needed.

Your friend will need to do the same but I'd look into upgrading his alternator(s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) as well and probably a pair of batteries for the rear

2200 watts i would do the big 3 and a group 31 sized agm like a kinetik 2400 in back by the amps

4400 watts Big 3 replace the front battery with an AGM as big as what fits and add the same in back as you did yours, also look into MLA missing link audio modules they are less expensive than a whole alternator..they are vehicle dependant though.

I dont blame you, I only believe you need a new alternator if your running something ungodly or into competing. I say get a new battery up front a nice one and the back (2400 maybe)
