Electrical Upgrades?

I'm planning on putting in a MTX Thunder 304 (300 watts) amp. Do I need any electrical system upgrades, capacitors, etc... for this size amp? Also is 8 gauge wire sufficient? Thanks in advance for any help.

you should be fine without them, and run the maximum wire that the amp will accept from your battery and for your ground. but you should do fine without elec. upgrades

8 gauge is a little small. 4 gauge may be too big though. 6? Its not a lot of power...

good luck finding 6 gauge...

i'd get 0 gauge and get a distro block or a reducer.. u know u'll wanna upgrade sooner or later..
