hey guys,

I've had my system in my 83' caddilac deville for about 2 weeks now and the other day i noticed that my right sub was moving more than my left one. I didn't think it was a problem, but then i started losing sound on the lower volumes of my hu like 10 and 11. But then today my subs started cutting in and out like maybe a power shortage... but im not sure exactly, and now i was playin em tonight, and when i turn on my hu the amp doesnt even turn on, no light no nothing, i was just wonderin if i could get some advice

If you turn can turn the amp on manually then check the remote wire. As far as cutting out and such, check all your connections.

i checked the ground, power, and speaker connections, the only ones i didnt check was the remote, rca, and under the hood, hopefully that will fix it, but im thinking i need a better electrical system, cuz my lights dim when i have my subs on lol

mine do to, but the system works still. that's only a problem at higher volume. you have a different problem.

im guessing its under the hood because the fuse holder was to small for the wire so i had to cram lol

That might do it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

It definitely sounds like it is a loose wire somewhere. If it is only the subs losing power, then it is somewhere from the battery to the amp.

Also, depending on how easy it is, try to check the rear of your deck to make sure your RCA did not come loose during re-installation.

well with some help of snoopdann, i figured out it was one of my subs are "sick" cuz after i fixed everything the protect light started to come on, but it was fine when i unhooked the sub that was messed up, im pretty pissed cuz i cant wire my 1 sub to 2 ohms.... o well thanks for da help peepz //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
