stock battery, stock alt.

car struggles A LOT to start. once i run it for a while the battery seems fine and car starts up good. but by next morning its same thing again.

have amp for mids/highs and sub amp. only the mids/high amps is actually putting out power and only about 250 watts at most. have a cap also (as useless as that can sound)

any ideas what it is? ive been working on my install, and i think this could be it, from having doors open and stuff? i trick the doors, so i wouldnt think this is it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Get your battery load tested.

its an 05 Lexus

I will get the battery tested, I'm hoping at the most, the biggest problem is just the battery and not something bigger.

i am planning on replacing both, but im not ******* out tons of power from either yet. just the amp for mids/highs.

If it's the original battery, you may be due for a new one.

If after the car is running for awhile the battery gets better then your alternator is working fine. Your batt probably needs replacing. Anything's better than stock...

what lexus are you driving? imo its your battery and an fiy, stock lexus/toyota batteries are made by innerstate batteries.(just a lot more$$$)

its a 2005 Lexus gs300

and yeah alternator is stock, and the battery is not the original, its an exide orbital lead battery that i replaced about 2 years ago. it charges when i drive around, but when im working on it, it seems to die out. i dont know why if i trick all doors, door/dash lights stay on or anything.
