Alright I'm throwing in 8 RE 8s, a Crossfire BMF1000D, Crossfire Mids and tweets, and a Crossfire 35x4 amp. Should I just do the Big 3 and an Optima yellow top or just the big three. I'm also going to be running an OBA setup and On Board Welder as well.

I would just do the big three for now, see how it works out. Then go for the upgraded battery, and see how that helps.. If there is still voltage drops, upgrade the alt.

nah. I'll just throw in another battery. An alt for my 460 is over $600

If you add another battery, and your stock altenator can not even support the previous load, then it will strain even harder to charge a second battery... That is the stupidest mistakes people make on stock electrical systems. And I am sure you can get an altenator cheaper than that.

ohio gen wasnts $550 for the alt plus 45 to ship. thats 595 basically 600.

u also gota realize my truck is a '77 and the engine is from a '72 lincoln. ain't exactly gona have them readily available

yeah the big 3 sounds like the best option too.

ANy alt can be made to fit. the main difference is the case an mounting points.. all of which can be made custom

true. I contaced mean green and mr alt for help. I think I may run a 180. Me and Moe are runnin into some problems tryin to fit 8 ported RE 8s in the truck so I may run either 8, 10, or 14 of em sealed.
