Electrical Question

I plan on running a Sundown SAE 1000, and (kicker 550.2 or PDX 150.2) on my stock electrical. I will have Big Three done and probably ~1/0 gauge throughout. I'm in a 2006 civic and I dont know what my alt puts out, Do i need an extra battery, cap, or anything else to be okay?

I have an 06 matrix and I need an upgraded alt to keep my batt charged and this is my layout.

80a alt

High rc marine battery

Big 3 in 4gauge

1/0 to the distro

4gauge to 600wrms front amp

4gauge to 1200wrms sub amp

My car almost shuts off on hard bass hits lol. And my battery doesnt charge when i have the heat going and the stereo about half way up during a typical drive. So i will be getting a HO alt beginning of feb. I dont know what size alt your car has but i wouldn't guess it to be over 90 amps so you should probably upgrade.

Well Im hoping to not upgrade my alternator. What if I stick with a PDX 600.1 for sub stage Instead of the 1100 watt sundown. Would that help? What if I add a battery in the trunk?

the 2nd battery will not help...it will present more of a load on the alt

i think civics have like a 60 or 70 amp alt. or at least thats what my 03 civic had before i upgraded it.

Oh thats it? 70 amps is horrible. Where could I find an inexpensive alt that can fulfill my needs?

Good luck with finding a cheap (and decent) atly for a foreign vehicle. What sub are you planning on running? I kinda lean toward gearing your system around your electrical. Having said that, all I have is a 70amp alt and I am running a Sundown 1000d and 125 X2 for the fronts. So far, no problems but don't ask me why.

Either IDMax (if money permits), 1 12"idqv3, or 12"SI BM....Just want some PG RSD 6.5's for comps. Dual Alts would be freaking sweet but i didn't know it was possible. Ill do some research on that.
