Electrical Problems

So right now at the moment I am confused as to why I am having issues with my electrical getting severely drained from my subwoofers. Currently I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 1000-1bd mono amp, a Rockford Fosgate Punch 400-4 4 channel amp, a 1 Farad Rockford Fosgate digital capacitor, 2 12" Alpine Type-R's, Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 component speakers up front, and Infinity Kappa Series 3-way 6 x 9's in the rear. I drive a 2003 Chevy Impala and switched out my alternator from the stock 105 amp to a 130 amp high gain alternator, and also bought a new AC Delco 78-7yr Professional series battery. I have checked all of my connections from my grounds on my battery and everything on the battery and alternator are nice and tight. I am running 4 gauge Rockford wiring to a Power distribution block to splice to my amps which is no issue there. The problem which I am having is that I obviously have my headlights dimming while my subs are in action, but also it's to the point that my power windows are delayed (meaning that when i go to roll them up they will start, then stop, or not respond for like 5-10 seconds). I have talked to my installers at work (I'm a best buy employee), and we checked it out and could not find an issue with any electrical item in my system. I went to a GM dealer and they said that they couldn't do anything for me and I'm just frustrated that I have all this time and money wrapped up in good electrical components, and they aren't paying off for me. Any ideas or suggestions???

Thanks yall,

Cody

- Replace the 4 awg wiring with 1/0 awg.

- Perform the "Big Three" upgrade.

- Lose the capacitor.

- Buy a better battery (Kinetik, XS Power, Batcap, etc)

Do you have any information about your alternator?

i would definitely also recomend all of the above, especially the big three if you have a h/o alternator. and yeah four gauge is too small for all that equipment you got going

before you do any of that though, have you tried running your car and driving it with out any of the audio equipment?

your car isnt that old so i dont think you should be having those problems, but try disconnecting the main power to your distribution block or wherever your first power source for your audio equipment is and see if that helps your car electrical at all.
