What year? I am gonna go with yes. I ran 2 1500d's off 1 hc1400 and 1 hc2400 and stock alt. Volts dropped down to right at 12.1

maybe a lil the same....not sure thoug..i dont really know that much about batteries...hopefully someone answers you question....

if it's the 95A alt and you blast it all the time I think you'll have a struggling battery real soon.

If you take it easy and only show it off once in a while you might be ok.

I think you'd really have to baby it for it to run w/o an issue.

If it's the 130A alt and you blast it all the time I still think your battery will go dead sooner than later. If you take it easy most of the time I think you're good.

If you really baby it there will be no problem at all.

I wish people would specify which Red and Yellow they plan on using like there are only one size made of each. There are 6 different Yellow Optimas made. If you have a small Yellow, it might push those amps for a while, but it will die a quick death. If you have a G31 Yellow (big boy), you might be OK at low volumes, as long as you allow time for the alt to recharge the batteries.

However, the guy with the Kinetik HC1400 & HC2400 will have much more power on hand than you will, regardless of the size of your Optimas. And he was dropping to a very low voltage too.

So my advice would be to try it out since you already own the batteries, but just be prepared to buy some better batteries when the amps go into protect. Also an HO alt is in your future plans as well. Start saving.
