Hey everyone! Workin on piecing my new system together ( just ordered 2 12" BL's and 2 SD 1500's ) and im starting to plan my electrical. I have an Iraggi 220amp alt coming this week, but im unsure on battery setup. I was originally planning on keeping the stock battery up front and putting 2 kinetik 1800 or 2400 in the trunk. My battery dock is rather small measuring roughly 7"H x 10 1/2L x 6 3/4W so im rather limited up there. Will this setup be enough or should i change out the stock battery to a kinetik800 possibly? ( only one ive found to fit my requirements)

Also running the SD 100.4 to my hertz components.

Thanks

J

I spoke to one of the guys at our local shop and he is concerned with my electrical still. He is telling me that with my car pulling 4000watts peak that the 0 guage wire wont allow that much to reach my amps and it will starve my entire electrical system. He suggested adding a 4farad cap or larger to the 220alt amp and 2 1800 or 2400's i plan on using.

Thoughts on this? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Tell him he's full of shit, and that I said so. Think of a wire as a pipe, and electricity as water. Trying to shove too much water thru a small diameter pipe creates restriction. Doing the same with hi amps thru small wire creates resistance and heat. The larger the wire installed, the less resistance, the better off you are.

Give him the middle finger for me. The setup ur planning should run fine. If anything u should be trying 2 runs of 0 gauge. He just wants to sell u the cap so he gets money.
