I have a 2001 civic lx Coupe. It came installed with a system , but it made life easier for me .. So i put in my pioneer deck, and took off the kicker 5 1/2 in the front door that it had and put in my diamond audio components 6 1/2. I dont have a great sub yet, so i put in a kicker comp 12 inch in box in the trunk. with a profile amp "1000"amp(w.e).

So I disconnected the rear speakers for now, till i get a other fuse to hook em up with the block..

My problem is, when I have it down or up the volume.. (Sometimes, its cuts in the front speakers) when i use the power windows it cuts sounds cutt like its not getting the enough power. I tought it would have been the other speakers, but my diamond do it too. Any help would rock!

I'am thinking I need to buy a new better battery, I will go test the battery at the zone this Thursday.

The system itself when working right, sounds almost perfect to me. It sounds great in the inside, but not loud outside of the car.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Lets see if I understand this right. your sound is cutting in and out when you use your windows. I have a few Qs if that is the problem. Is the main power to the HU ran directly to the battery? Are you using the factory ground to the original HU?

It sounds like your HU isn't getting enough power when the windows are being used. other electrical things could be causing power drops as well. The wire that goes to the fuse panel in the car (or under the hood on some cars) has a pretty small power wire from the battery to it and it may not have the power to run the HU and the windows at the same time so the stereo gets underpowered and cuts out. and it could be an electrical short somewhere.

Well the windows was just an example. It happens also when I'am just driving and it cuts for a while then it goes back to normal...

I don't know how the wires are set up, it was done by the previous owner of the car.. Which to me looks professional installed from the looks of the wires in the trunk, very organized with some monster cables and acoustiks and a block for a 2nd amp.

I might have to take off the radio, and inspect if there is any problems with the hu. PIONEER DEH-P4400

I might have to take pictures...

O yeah one more ? do the speakers cut out at random times and when the windows are being used? I have another idea of what it could be. I think you might want to check for a speaker wire crossed somewhere.
random times, it has happen everytime since I have listen to the system. They do not completely cut out, like gargaled(s?). When the windows are being used, I remember yesterday I press the button down, and it started cutin in and out realy nasty.. When i let it go it went back to normal. (I was like tellin my cousin look at this shit pressing the button)

It's wierd.. I tough it would have been the wires not put on right. but i did just installed them myself, i know i tighten them.

i had the same amp and speakers in another car and it didnt do that...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

That is one of the most confusing posts I ever read.

I think you said that you disconnected the rear speakers? are those wires touching?

Are the components hooked up to an amp?

Does the noise come out of the sub as well?

Are any of the wires spliced? If so they might be bare in a spot and touching metal when the car shifts or the ground-n-power for one set might be touching. Had a friend who put in some tweeters and the wires on one tweeter touched whenever you slammed a door. Everything except the subwoofer would cut out if you hit a good enough bump.

Well i checked the wires , There is nothing worng there.

I have noticed recently, that it does not happen when the car is off or on(parked). Only when driving..... looks like voltage is dropping..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

if you can only repeat the problem while driving then I would think it would be more vibration related than a voltage drop.

back to my first reply:

compenents are hooked up to a amp.

I can't tell if the sub is doing the sound also..(it sounds fine I THINK)..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
