why are we talking about battery charges? that what a alt is for.
It's good to fully charge batteries before installing them.

Also, point A to point B driving doesn't always fully charge batteries, especially when you're pulling more current than your alternator can consistently keep up with.

2 amp maintainers are a cheap way to extend the life of batteries

@Massive spl is this the one? And is this all I need to get the job done? And if I have my secondary alt. Hooked up strictly for my audio do I have to unhook anything to charge the batts. Up or can I just cut the truck off and charge the bank up without unhooking wires?

Ya but look around I got mine for $14.95 I do believe online.. And no need to unhook anything

Guy asks about batteries the "battery guy" comes in and recommends year old used sh1t batteries smh i like kinetik myself, but in your situation, id go juicebox.
What's wrong with Deka/Duracell? Penn State batteries can be pretty effective for the money.

I'd personally buy new, but I've had a LOT of guys recommend these products to me.

you don't need to charge and secondary battery before you hook it up.. it should be charged anyways.. am i missing something?

A year old doesn't make them zhit it makes them a bargain.

So many of the Hyped car audio batteries are a case sticker and marketing hype on imported batteries.

Year old trade-ins are bargains //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

That's how you really get the most for your money. If it rests at a good voltage, holds a charge, and load tests good, I don't call that shit. Regardless of the group number or brand, we sell all used batteries for $60. We've got a year old interstate battery that's like brand new and a generic group 48 that cranks well over 700 amps. Both are on the shelf right now for $60.

Why would it be charged if you haven't charged it yet? It's just easier on your alternator

Get the JuiceBox Black Cherries. The discharge characteristics and constant power discharge watts per cell will be much better than year old Dekas.

More expensive? Yes.

Better battery for what we do? Yes.
