well i wasn't going to comment but i will. Its funny you say I attack anyone who disagrees with me on eD. Go ask arguably one of the biggest eD fans on this board, na-rsx. He and I go round and round about this all the time, yet in the end I always wish him well with his eD prodycts. I do not want to see anyone get screwed, not even someone who buys eD products.

Im old enough to remember. JL Audio has never been caught attempting to use another company's design as their own. JL Audio has never been caught out and out lying to potential customers in order to gain a sale. Its true at one point JL was a start-up just like eD, but you cannot possibly expect us to believe JL, and all audio companies, are run the way eD is.

I never said anything about patent infringement.

Was ED actually guilty of infringement or just "close enough" so that JL could drag it out in court long enough to break ED and even if ED was innocent they would go broke with the legal fees? It wouldn't be the first time a large company put the scare into a smaller company with an unsubstantiated legal threat.

And yes, I remember sitting out a double points event because my 10w4 never arrived even though I was told that it was specifically pulled off a pallet and shipped to me. It wasn't just late, it NEVER arrived and apparently never shipped even though I was told over the phone by someone that "watched Jimmy (or Jason, or John, I don't remember the exact name) pull it off , box, and label it"

Shit happens. I'm not sure if that was an outright lie or someone dropping the ball. I will say that since that time I have had nothing to complain about. Service has always been top notch.

People keep asking about specifics on the ED thing and we keep getting redirected to threads like this where everyone says Ben lied but nothing explaining exactly what he lied about. There are always 4-5 people spitting venom about Ben being Satan himself and 100's of other people saying they got their stuff in a timely manner. I personally have never had to deal with Ben. I have one ED 15' sub that works perfectly in my HT setup, a 16kv something I think? NO problems with it and it arrived 3 days after I placed my order.

What exactly did Ben do? Was the BBB contacted? Did it go to court? I remember some of those 15" flat cones failing but the few people I knew with problems had them replaced with an upgraded cone. The way people talk about Ben he must have stolen your grandma's retirement and left a used condom in her bed.

I think most people agree that shit happens but most people are willing to give a fledgling company a second chance. Except here, and except ED. I can find 4-5 hardcore haters of ANY audio product. I've been around long enough to see just about every brand of audio equipment fail more than once and I've seen just about every brand earn praises at one time or another.

Enough rant. I guess I just need some specifics. Like anyone else I'm callin BS until you post the TermLab numbers. LOL
