OK, I'll say this from the rooftops so you can hear what I say and listen to what I say because you clearly believe in some sense that I'm on ED's side on this.
By my comments YOU assume, presume or whatever to think I condone what ED has done, did or will do. YOU think that and that's not what I said yet you clearly are putting me in a position that I subscribe to any company benefiting from stealing from another.
You keep saying Im presuming stuff about you, yet all Im trying to do is understand your stance. Quit getting all pissed and look at what Im saying. Here's something I said to you earlier...
"If you weren't implying JL 'won' due to solely having deeper pocket, I do not understand why you made such a comment. If you hate copywrite infringement so much, I do not understand why you much such comments on it happening every day and seemingly downplay the issue. That is the crux of what Ive been trying to get across to you. Again, if you were not implying JL was just pushing their weight around in this situation via their deeper pockets, why mention it? If you take that question as some sort of poke at you personally, well that to be frank, is on you. I have tried to be respectful to you, while disagreeing. Even in this passage from one of my previous posts to you i said that if Ive misinterpreted your words, I apologized. yet here you still act like Im just bashing on you and your personal character.
Did you READ what I said and understand it for what I did say??? I'm talking about " SIMILARITY'S " as in the APPEARANCE between a w7 vs ED's subwoofer basket structure and I said in no way, shape or form does either one look the same, but, SIMILAR.
And Ive stated that is your opinion, that you are welcome to. What's the problem?
Your referring to " Patent Infringement " which by all accounts JL said there were issues. Now, I don't speculate, presume or have full knowledge as to the Factual Basis of said " Patent Infringement " however, within the confines of this thread I'm sure their are some very learned folks that think they know all the finer details that would preclude them to be " EXPERTS " and for the most part all be but convinced that ED stole technology directly from JL Audio.
Now, as with any type of accusations being made, there is usually some form of evidence to support them and to my knowledge, accusations or " HEARSAY " doesn't hold up will in the court of law. However, everything said pretty much is been nothing but Hearsay the the jury of public opinion has already convicted ED.
That's the fr!ggin problem with people in this country, someone makes a claim and it becomes " fact " with nothing more than the mere mention with no shred of any proof other than a few pictures yet the story behind the pictures become so obscured that no one individual or individuals knows the complete truth.
I'll admit it, you lost me for a bit somewhere between 'patent infringement' and the 'friggin problem with this country'. Do you think you are making abit more out of our little debate here than is necessary? And yet we persist...
Before you get too far down that road of speculation and 'he said she said', you really should know something... this was all brought into the public light when Ben Milne (that's right, owner of eD himself) posted the letter from JL Audio, along with his own accounts of the actions. Words to the effect of the patented cooling passages were one prelim drawings only, not intended for production yadda yadda.
Im sorry, I cannot provide you with that link, Ben removed it from his website, or had last I was told. If you do not believe me when I say I read it with my own eyes, make a thread or do some research, its hardly a little known fact. Yes, fact it is.
Im tempted to make some comment about the hypocrisy of you harping on me/us about the 'truth' when its aparent you dont even know the whole story/truth here, but I'll leave it with noting it hasn't gone without notice.
The three pieces of " evidence " presented only show what ED's vs JL's appear to " look like " and you offer nothing else. Now, if you can present evidence to show that ED with out a doubt STOLE from from JL something that clearly is part of the ED product, then you have my full attention.
You seem to think this thread has come to revolve around gaining your attention. Ive told you the facts, if you want to know the truth so bad, go find it yourself. I dont mean to be blunt, but my patience is wearing thin.
Now, if you want to twist all of what I said to fit so conveniently into your still presumption that I condone/support ED is some manner, then I have another opinion, your a narrowed minded person that regardless what i say or what i have said or anyone else says that does not conform to your thoughts will not nor does not matter in your judgment since in your mind the judgment is final.

Again, what Ive done here is not judge you, but try to understand your point. You seemed to say soemthing different in your first replies than you have since. I asked you to elaborate, you got offended. *shrug*
