I can't believe I ever said anything positive, my products have been really great, but Ben is a moron.

Hahahaha, this thread is great. I read all of it(sadly), and had to take a moment to reflect...

1)Loyal fans of eD are blind to reality, or they plain just don't care...I'm not sure which is worse.

2)No matter how much you point them towards facts, they still plead stupidity...even more confusing.

3)Audioholic provided a flawless, well written, well documented argument, with tons of irrefutable facts, yet the eD drones thought they had a leg to stand on?...pushing my confusion into another dimension.

Is anyone else wondering how those people who got in on the preorder feel about getting a different sub then what they intended to buy?

Where is eD getting all of the xbl^2 motors(that's what they are, right?)? I know Robot Underground is making some "Brahma clones" for sale on ebay...where do these motors come from?

I thought it was more of a conventional underhung desing.. I didnt think it was stepping on wiggins toes, cause I seriosuly can't see wiggins selling ed the rights to use the xbl stuff

I like Ed products, I bought them before I knew the past of the company..

Im still happy with what I bought.. but I doubt Id buy anything major from them again, because after a few years Ive read a lot more and dont see the advantages to the company's specific product lines, might as well shop elsewhere, especially with the checkered past

Ryan, thanks for the kind words. I honestly am not interested in 'owning' anybody, I just hate seeing the spread of misinformation and transparent excuses for those crooks. Its bad enough they themselves get away with it, but people who dont even have a financial stake in the company? Its hard to understand why all these people chose Ben of all people, and ED of all companies, to hitch their wagon to.

eD is not making anything XBL^2....the 13.av2 is your (relatively) standard underhung driver.

Robot Underground bought a bunch of the old Brahma motors from Adire when they went under. Now they use different coils and softparts than the original Brahma drivers....not necessarily of the right geometry, either.

But there are lots of good XBL^2 drivers out there right now...CSS SDX series, Exodus Shiva-X/Tempest-X/XJ-18/EX-6.5, GR Research, and the new Stereo Integrity Mags will be XBL^2 as well.
