What looks similar? Completely different basket, motor design, gasket setup. The only similarity is the inverted dustcap, which RE has been using for several years already, and several other companies use, and the surround, which is also similar to plenty of other woofers.

yeah i was talking about the cone and surround. but you make a very good point, that plenty other subs use the same platform and designs.

Differentiating opinions is fine, but don't make a blanket assumption by saying that everyone that hates eD is usually on someone else's nuts, then proceed to call other people ignorant. Quite hypocritical.

i only said "gripping other companies nuts" when i got called ignorant, and when people starting calling me names and shit. i just made an example of how i can get to, but i didnt. i tried to keep it clean and smooth, but i am not going to stand around and have people i never met call me a idiot or ignorant.

i know its pointless, but if you go through my posts, i am very nice at first. i am respecting everyones opinion, but when i start getting trash talk, then yeah i have to talk shit back. its a part of life. but its good to know you are starting to get me little by little.

yeah, i was going to say that too, its cool how jl has the surround covering the screws. i would be scared to install one. but if you look at the front of the subs, you can see they are the same. thats what i meant.

But if we were goin on looks from the front alone and not slight differences then you would have to say that the basket on the new A series is the same as the W7's but it's not the same way the XXX surrround isn't the same as the W7's

Not trying to be a dick, but do some research before you start using terms like respectable or good reputation. eD has/is neither.

And this is coming from someone who use to love eD... when they were new. But I can only stand so much deceit for personal gain from one company/man before I start shouting BS.

see, i said the cones and surround look alike, not the whole sub. its obvious you need to maintain a ego. and trust me, you dont need to be light on me, i come from a forum where i pwnt people on a daily basis. i may be new on this forum, but i am no stranger to forums.
